Kurs: Master in European Law
Beschreibung: The Master in European Law at the University of Luxembourg offers both a general deepening of knowledge and practical application
of European Law as well as specializations in the area of European Litigation, European Banking and Finance or European Criminal Law. Further, there is a
choice between a one or two year programme which is bilingual and taught in both French and English. The programme has been established in close cooperation
to major European Institutions such as the Court of Justice as well as banking and financial institutions. Lecturers come from these institutions as well
as from universities and law firms. Apart from classroom teaching there are regular opportunities for participation in Moot Courts and in addition to
the Master Thesis participants also profit from traineeships in the cooperating institutions.
Kurs: Master in European Law, specialisation in European Litigation
Beschreibung: This specialisation which approaches EU law from the point of view of European litigation is taught by a faculty composed of
judges and advocate generals from the European Court of Justice, the Court of First Instance, as well as specialised academics from various universities
and institutions. Students are exposed to litigation procedures and litigation in various policy fields.
The last semester of this programme ends with a two month internship, for example at one of the Courts, the European Commission or a specialised law firm.
Students are awarded a Master degree from Luxembourg and France through the University of Luxembourg, the Universities Robert Schuman of Strasbourg and
Nancy.
Kurs: Master in European Law, specialisation in European Banking and Financial Law
Beschreibung: The specialisation in European Banking and Financial Law of the Master in European Law offers a curriculum which covers both the
theoretical and the practical aspects of the subject. The programme receives support from private and public partners at the European and national level.
In Luxembourg there are not only the relevant European Union institutions such as the European Court of Auditors, the European Investment Bank and the
European Investment Fund but the city is also one of the major financial centres of the world.
Kurs: Master in European Law, specialisation in European Criminal Law
Beschreibung: This specialisation in the Master teaches the relevant legal, economic and financial knowledge necessary for the prevention and
crackdown of business and financial crime in the European Union. The programme is multidisciplinary and integrates law, economics and finance. Lectures of
the Master deal with European criminal law, European cooperation in criminal matters, protection of financial interest of the European Community, white
collar crime, financial fraud, law and economics, as well as the prevention of money laundering, counterfeit, cyber crime and customs fraud. All students
do a traineeship during the second semester integrating theory and practice into the education.
