THE HAGUE, 10 October 2001. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) will hold a short public sitting in the case concerning Armed Activities on the Territory of the Congo (Democratic Republic of the Congo v. Uganda) on Tuesday 16 October 2001 at 12.30 p.m.
During the sitting, Mr. J. Verhoeven (Belgium), the judge ad hoc chosen by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Mr. J. L. Kateka (Tanzania), the judge ad hoc chosen by the Republic of Uganda, will make the solemn declaration provided for in Article 20 of the Statute of the Court.
